Farm Credit of Central Florida's Jennifer Parrish Installed as FNGLA President

Farm Credit of Central Florida is pleased to recognize Jennifer Parrish as President of the Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association (FNGLA), effective June 27, 2026.

Jennifer brings more than two decades of experience in Florida's horticulture industry to her role as FNGLA President. Growing up in her family’s nursery business, she developed an early understanding of the industry before earning a bachelor's degree in horticulture from the University of Florida. She began her professional career with Agri-Starts in 2003, where she spent five years serving growers throughout Florida. She later joined Farm Credit, where she continues to support agricultural producers through crop insurance and risk management solutions.

Since joining the FNGLA Action Chapter Board in 2004, she has held numerous leadership positions, including President, Vice President, Second Vice President, and State Board Representative. In addition to her chapter leadership, she served on the Landscape Show Knowledge College Committee, Membership Committee, and Foliage Division. Most recently, she was elected to a series of FNGLA officer positions, including State Secretary/Treasurer in 2024, President-Elect in 2025, and President in 2026.

Jennifer's dedication to Florida agriculture is reflected not only through her involvement with FNGLA, but also through her service to industry organizations and agricultural leadership programs. An alumnus of Wedgworth Leadership Institute Class IX, Jennifer was a director of the Orange County Farm Bureau and a representative on the Orange County Agriculture Advisory Board. Her contributions to the horticulture industry were recognized with the Farm Credit/FNGLA Young Nursery Professional of the Year Award in 2011 and the FNGLA Action Chapter Batson Award in 2017. Most recently, she served as Chair of the Wedgworth Advisory Committee from 2024 to 2026.

Jennifer's installation as FNGLA President was especially meaningful as she was installed by her father, Wes Parrish, a past FNGLA President. The occasion reflected a family legacy of leadership and service within Florida's horticulture industry.

Jennifer shares her vision for the future of FNGLA:

"As I begin my term as president, I'm excited to visit our chapters and get to know our leaders and members. We do amazing things at both the chapter and state level of FNGLA. I want our members to feel that we are all moving in the same direction. The industry is changing with housing demands, property values, water concerns, and other challenges. The association is here to help our members stay educated, connected, and prepared to adapt to those changes around us."
