9/25/2017 - 2017 Hillsborough County Fair Harvest Awards Announced

The Hillsborough County Fair will award three individuals, a garden ministry, and a farm family with this year’s Harvest Awards. The 17th annual event will be held during a luncheon on Thursday, October 19th in the new air conditioned Exhibit Pavilion. The luncheon will also officially kick off the Hillsborough County Fair which opens later that day at 5:00 p.m. The awards luncheon is complimentary, but advanced reservations are required by contacting the Fair Office at hillsboroughcountyfair@verizon.net or at www.hillsboroughcountyfair.com.

9/8/2017 - Preparing to File Crop Insurance Claims in the Wake of Hurricane Irma

Lakeland, Fla. (September 8, 2017) All Farm Credit of Central Florida offices will be closing on Friday, September 8 at noon and will remain closed on Monday, September 11 due to the forecasted severity of Hurricane Irma. As we prepare, there are important procedures Farm Credit of Central Florida crop insurance customers should follow when claiming losses under the Federal crop insurance program. Please review the list below to make sure you are properly prepared in the event of a claim.


7/24/2017 - Eligible Farm Credit of Central Florida Members Share $1.68 million in Allocated Surplus

Farm Credit of Central Florida Chairman of the Board Robert R. Roberson announced eligible members of the Lakeland based agricultural cooperative would share in a $1.68 million payment of allocated surplus.


6/8/2017 - DETJEN APPOINTED AS CHIEF CREDIT OFFICER

Lakeland, Fla. (June 5, 2017) - Scarlet Detjen was appointed Chief Credit Officer of Farm Credit of Central Florida on June 1, 2017.

TAMPA, Fla. (Jan. 4, 2017) -- Tickets are on sale for the 38th annual Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame banquet on Feb. 14, which will honor four inductees who have made invaluable contributions to Florida agriculture.


1/3/2017 - Farm Credit of Central Florida: Looking Ahead in 2017

 The Selection Committee for The Florida Citrus Hall of Fame has announced three distinguished leaders will be inducted into the Hall during the 55th Citrus Celebration Luncheon on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Florida Southern College in Lakeland.

Farm Credit of Central Florida Chairman of the Board Robert R. Roberson announced eligible members of the Lakeland based agricultural cooperative would share in a $2.2 million payment of qualified allocated surplus.


4/20/2016 - New members to Farm Credit of Central Florida board

Reggie Holt, President and CEO of Lakeland-based agricultural lending cooperative Farm Credit of Central Florida announced Dale McClellan and Randall E. Strode, have been elected by the coop’s membership to serve on the board of directors. David A. Mereness was appointed to the board to serve as the association’s outside director.


4/8/2016 - Farm Credit of Central Florida declares $4 million cash patronage distribution for 2016

Farm Credit of Central Florida’s Board of Directors recently declared $4 million in patronage dividends to qualified Borrowers of the Lakeland based agricultural lending cooperative.


3/16/2016 - Florida legislature honors Farm Credit as it celebrates 100 years

The Florida Senate and House of Representatives both adopted resolutions honoring Farm Credit on its 100th anniversary.

Blueberry growers in eight more Florida counties are now eligible to purchase insurance through the federal government for the blueberry crop that will come to harvest in 2016.


5/18/2015 - Farm Credit of Central Florida Directors Re-Elected

Directors Jenny Black and John Langford have been re-elected by the cooperative's membership to serve three-year terms expiring in 2018.


5/7/2015 - Farm Credit of Central Florida Director Rex Clonts Reelected

Robert R. “Robbie” Roberson, Chairman of the Board of Lakeland-based agricultural lending cooperative Farm Credit of Central Florida announced that Vice-Chairman of the Board Rex Clonts has been re-elected to serve another three-year term expiring in 2018.
